You haven't specified which AMD 6-core processor - they make quite a few. What you want to use it for also matters.
But I'd say almost certainly the Xeon.

The Xeon will beat any AMD 6 core in practically any workload. Even single thread the Xeon should win because of turbo boost and much higher IPC (3Ghz turbo for Xeon VS 4.2Ghz Turbo on FX-6350). In heavy multi threaded workloads the Xeon should be over 2x faster than the FX-6350. The only issue is the Xeon costs so much more..
