Hey guys,

I'm now returning to PC gaming after 2 years to play the likes on The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 on ultra graphics but doubt my PC could handle that now and have no idea where to start or what priority to upgrade. Any help would be appreciated :)

Specs:
CPU - AMS FX(tm)-6300 6-core 3.50GHz
GPU - Asus HD7850 Direct CU-II
PSU - Antec HCG-620
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM - 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport - DIMM

Thankyou

Solution
The Antec HCG series are very good PSU's and a GTX 970 should use a 500 watt or larger, so you won't have a problem there. I would try for a mild overclock of your current CPU and live with it, otherwise upgrading the CPU and going for a high overclock will require a better suited motherboard as well.

I was planning on doing a whole overhaul anyway.

Was going to upgrade to GTX 970 and Intel Core i5 4690K with a Asus B85M-G Mobo. Would that be compatible/worth it?

Sorry I'm totally new to this and appreciate the help a lot

Not to sound like a fanboy, but for gaming, Intel is really the way to go. The 4690K is a great CPU, but you should probably pair it with a motherboard that would allow overclocking, like the Z97 chipset boards. The B85 boards won't allow it. If you don't intend to overclock, then the B85 paired with a 4590/4690 non K would be a good choice. You could run any video card you wished with any of those CPU's.
