So here's my predicament. I built a new computer and installed Windows 10 on it. It posts just fine, but whenever I boot Windows 10 it ends up freezing after a random amount of use. This renders my new computer unusable - and as you can tell, is a bit of a problem. So, I decided to reinstall Windows. I may have selected the wrong partition to install it to, or maybe it's because I didn't delete the primary partition when I reinstalled Windows, but mid installation, while it was gathering updates, it froze. I doubt my Windows installation survived, so I want to try and reinstall it again the right way. (That was the original plan, anyway.)
So, that leads me to my question - in order to successfully reinstall Windows 10, I must totally reset my hard-drive. To do this I have to format and delete all the extra partitions Windows created. Am I supposed to delete the primary partition as well, or should I leave it as it is? I don't want to destroy my brand new hard-drive.
