I have an Arris SBG580 cable modem/router that has dual band but I have to go into the gateway to switch from 2.4 to 5ghz band manually.I was wondering if their was a way to bridge a new router like the CM600 to the Arris so I can run dual bands simultaneously since I have different devices in the house that receive different band frequencies. Plus, I live in a very large apartment complex and there's always interference on the 2.3 or 2.4 ghz band?

As I understand your posting you should be able to run dual bands.

Basically the Arris SBG580 would be used as just a modem (DHCP etc. off) and the DHCP functions/management would be assigned to the CM600.

I.e.,

-------ISP connection ---->Arris SBG580 (modem only) ------> CM600 router (handles wireless and DHCP assignments.

You will probably need the respective user manuals to configure the details but the above should be the general configuration.
