I literally just upgraded to the latest Windows 10 update because I restarted my computer to update my drivers. NOW I SEE THIS! WHY? I'm so fed up with this BS. Please, someone help? :(

CPU: i5-4430
GPU: GTX 660
RAM: 8x8 Corsair Vengeance RAM
PSU: HX 650W
HDD: Toshiba (don't know exact brand)
OS: Windows 10

I've deleted all my drivers in Driver Fusion before rebooting my computer. My computer did updates then went back. When I tried to download the drivers beforehand it said windows didn't support those.

Solution
Make sure that your user account has security permission to read / write from them too.

Try running the Nvidia installer as an admin if you haven't already.

Oh god do I hate that screen. Nvidia's installer sucks in that it stops installation without telling you what the issue is. I cannot believe this issue isn't fixed yet given how long it's been around. It's possible that somehow your windows temp folder got deleted and this can be the cause of the issue above.

Make sure these two folders exist

Replace USERPROFILE with your user name. Make sure you have hidden folder visible

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp

and

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\TMP

They exist.
