Which CPU is better for me?

A couple years back, I built my first gaming rig. I put some descent entry level parts in it. The problem that I have now is the CPU. It's an AMD Athlon X4 760k (From 2011). I'd say that it's the oldest component on my system, and (to me) seems pretty low end compared to the rest of my PC specs below. So I was wondering what others think I should do: Get the new A-10 7890k, or the new Athlon X4 880k (Both of these CPUs haven't been put on sale yet), or should I just stick with what I've got? My primary concern is the processing power that I would profit, more is better. The graphics part of the APU wouldn't really be used unless there is a way to combine the graphics power. (Which I don't think is possible for this because the APU has r7 and my GPU is r9 But I may be wrong)
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I've built a PC part picker list of my setup:

Haswell would be compatible with your current RAM (and even the 4460/4590 are great performers). If you want to OC, go the 4690 and a good Z97 board route.

Skylake would require new DDR4 RAM.

Hm. I didn't even think of that. What family of i5 do you recommend? I was thinking a Haswell maybe

Yes go with Haswell if you wish to save your money by keeping your RAM, or if you can/want sell the RAM ; go Skylake. As DDR3 and 4 are nearly the same price now but DDR4 offers far greater freqencies.
