Looking for a good gaming rig under $1,000

Solution
There are several instructional videos on youtube that would help you. Building a PC is not hard. We can help you pick out the parts. We could also answer any question you may have if you run into any problems. You won't regret building your own.

I'd rather purchase a prebuilt, do you have any suggestions?

I made a couple of practical changes. The EVGA psu you selected is not very good. I replaced it with a much better EVGA. You would really only need about 550w, but that is a great deal on that 750w. You should stick with the GTX970.
