Hello

I had this PSU for a while and its fan has been giving a lot of noise trying to start spinning on and off

Right now it's not spinning at all even at startup and my computer shuts down every 30min i think cuz of overheating

Is there any way to check if the PSU fan is dead, its not even trying to spin on startup, maybe I disconnected something.

If you open up a PSU, be aware that some components will carry a potentially leathal charge (1000's of Volts) for some considerable time after it has been unplugged, potentially months, unless you know how to discharge them. The general rule is that if you don't know how to discharge them, then don't open it up.

If your system is drawing less than 220 Watts it will be operating in fanless mode, but iff it makes noise and doesn't even spin on startup it might be broken, you should buy a new one iff youre pc keeps shutting down. Or get a new PSU, but you could replace the fan iff it has a 3/4 pin connector on the board (switching on the PC and unplugging the power cord will discharge the PSU Or use 1 megaohm resistor to short the capacitors), i did it once with a older PSU, Unscrew the bolts and look iff it has a connector.
