Here are the main components:
-AMD FX 8350
-MSI 970 MOBO
-EVGA G@ 850W PS
-MSI Geforce GTX 970 Graphics
-Corsair H60 Liquid Cooler
-1 TB WD HDD
-120GB Kingston SSD
-Corsair 200r computer case

So I installed everything yesterday and cut the computer on for the first time but after about what seemed like 30 seconds to a minute it cut off. It was late so I checked a few connections and reseated the RAM and then tried again. It gave a message that said something about me adding/changing memory and then after about the same amount of time it cut off again. So this morning I started more seriously looking into the problem. After redoing some connections for the case leds and power buttons I cut it on again and it actually stayed on for awhile. I was able to get into the bios and I was looking through everything for the first time before it cut off again.

Some important notes:
1. Whenever I got into the bios I happened to see that the CPU temp was registering over 80 degrees which I thought was odd.
2. Whenever I cut it on everything seems to work. I see the LEDs in the MOBO and GPU all of the fans spin and even my fan controller led cuts on.
3. I was extremely careful when building as this is my first time, but I don't necessarily feel confident about some of the connections. I had trouble getting the liquid cooler onto the cpu. It took two tries and I'm worried that it's not keeping the CPU cool.
4. I feel confident it isn't a short as I picked up the case and tilted it to here for loose screws and I was very careful not to mount the MOBO on an unused standoff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
It sounds like a cooling problem, since you also noticed the CPU temp was at 80. Double check the CPU cooler, is it seated correctly and have you applied paste to it? You can try to run it with the stock cooler to see if that one works better.
