Is the stock CPU cooler of the i5-6600K good enough to install windows 10 and drivers for my components of a new build without damage to my CPU? All my parts have been delivered except the CPU cooler, but today is a really convenient day to build the computer and install the OS and drivers. Is the stock fan good enough for these beginning tasks?

Solution
No, do not operate the CPU without a properly mounted CPU cooler. It is a required and essential component.

Expect the chip to be damaged if you run it without a cooler.

easily, the stock cpu cooler will be able to handle it as long as you dont oc

you can usually pick up a stock lga 1150/51 cooler for really cheap since people practically just throw them out

the i5 6600k doesn't come with a stock cooler, so I can't see how you can install windows before your cooler gets to you. wait until it gets to you. yes, I know it hurts seeing a pile of hardware waiting for windows, but's that the smart thing to do.
