I just installed the samsung 950 pro NVMe 256gb ssd into the m.2 slot on my asus gl552vw win10 with a 1tb 7200rpm hdd and I tried to add the samsung NVMe driver after booting and I'm getting this error:

"Samsung NVM Express device is not connected, Connect the device and try again."

CHecked system info and Bios Mode is UEFI

Bios version 213 from 10/22/2015
SMBIOS version 3.0

Looking at the drives and it's not showing up......I have a C: drive with 307gb, and a D: drive with 558gb......I'm assuming that those 2 are the 1TB hdd...........not seeing the NVMe ssd at all

opening the samsung data migration software and it's not showing in there either.

what is the problem?

Hello... 1) You have to give permission to Windows to use the drive... computer-manage-Disk management right click on the graphics below to "make partition active" or other options.
2) Does your BIO's see and name the drive? you might need to enable it there on the LIST of drives (save&exit)

How do I give it permission?

I'm not seeing the drive in Windows Explorer

Hello... Right click computer or "my computer" manage-Disk management right click on the graphics below to "make partition active" or other options.

In the BIOS you have to select the right drive format for it UEFI which you did. Then if you want it to be a boot option you need to select it as a boot device not sure if you did that. Then as Iron suggest go into the disk or storage manager and see if the drive is listed there. If it is just select it like you normally do your other drives and partition it and format it. If it isn't listed perhaps you need to re-seat it.

under the boot tab in bios, I am not seeing it.....I'm only seeing Option #1, which i assume is the existing hdd.

Do I "Add Boot Option"?
