So after cleaning my PC out, I had issues with my Video card windows 10 was saying something along the lines of "windows encountered a problem with video card and we recovered" I then re-installed my drivers and eventually It moved onto the connection to my monitor completely cutting out. I then gave up and I am sending the card back and receiving a new one, but as I took out the video card, it did not seem to be completely set right! Could this of caused all the problems or was it more likely as I beleived static?!

Solution
If a card is not sitting properly in the slot (not pushed all the way down or dust build-up in the slot preventing good contact with the edge-connector) the result could easily be loss of video signal.

We always recommend reseating the card as part of troubleshooting these kind of issues.
