need pc building advice for gaming and 3d rendering, how does this build look?

Hi guys, first of all, sorry for my bad english.
I need to build new system for 3D modelling, animation & rendering, video editing, and playing some high end graphic games (witcher 3, fallout 4, etc).

this is my previous build, its from 2009 when i was studying in university, is there anything i can reuse?

- full tower case, standard gaming mouse and lcd
- cooler master v8
- amd phenom2 x4
- ta790gx 128m
- ati hd4770 crossfire
- 4x2gb ram xtreem dark ddr2
- 1TB WD green
- corsair vx550W

and this is what im planning on for my next build, i never build by myself so please give me advice on whats better (my budget is around 1000$-1500$ top, of course the cheaper the better)

- i7 4790k
- MSI Z97S SLI
- MSI gtx970 Gaming100ME
- Corsair 32gb 2400C11R
- Samsung SSD 850evo 250GB
(i dont know what psu i will be using, any advice?)

You should be able to reuse the case, mouse, keyboard and screen, but the other stuff isn't worth using
