maximus vii ranger tl-wdn4800 internet problems

hi i have some problems with the internet connection in my pc
i have my tlwdn4800 connected in the pcle 2.0x1 number 1
i tried updating drivers in the tlwdn4800 but it still doesnt fix the problem with the low signal
the last thing i tried is connecting the tlwdn4800 to the tlwdn4800 connected in the pcle 2.0x1 number 3 and now it works better
do you think i should just leave it as it is now or should i try to fix it someway?

1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
2| According to your product's support site, the maximum OS supported by the downloadable drivers is Windows 8.1 thus leading me to ask what OS you're running on your Maximus VII Ranger?
3| There's a saying

so if you're fine on the device running off PCI-E x1 slot 3 then leave it as is. Mind you some slots tend to sahre bandwidth so I'll also be asking if you happen to have a M.2 SSD on your board?

*1: The PCIe 2.0 x 16 slot (PCIEX4_3) shares bandwith with PCIe 2.0 x1 and M.2 slot. The default setting is Auto Mode, which automatically optimizes the system bandwidth. If you install a PCIe 2.0 x4 device, the system will automatically detect and disable PCIe 2.0 x1 and M.2 slot.
