Hello guys, I'd like to start by saying thank you in advance to anyone who can help. Currently in my PC I have 8GB of standard level Corsair Vengeance ram. It is 1600Mhz and the specific model number is - CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9. I have been looking to upgrade to 16GB as I have to free slots. Unfortunately as I am a student, I cannot afford to right now, however my friend has offered me a swap. He asked me if I would like to swap 16GB of low profile Corsair Vengeance ram for my 8GB's. I will not be overclocking at all in the future or anything like that. I do game a lot so not sure if swapping for the low profile will make a difference but I do not overclock at all. Please let me know, thanks again.

Do you know the speed and CAS latency of the Vengeance LP sticks?

The only difference is that the LP models do not have the larger heat spreaders and are made to fit systems with large air coolers that cover RAM slots.

Honestly you will not notice a difference but I would make sure it is at least the same speed (1600MHz) before trading. If it is it should work just as your current RAM works.
