Honestly its not really worth the trouble as the T4300 isn't that much faster than what you currently have right now. About where to get them, you can get them on eBay for a few bucks, but as I said before, it's not really worth the trouble. I've owned a laptop with a T4200 and wouldn't see the performance benefit to upgrade to that be worth the time and money into it, as well as you could possibly damage the computer in the process.

So yes you can but it's not worth it, the performance gains are minimal.

If and that is a big IF your laptop even has the ability to remove the CPU (many are soldered direct to board nowadays), then the performance difference between the Pentium and the Celeron will be very little.

Even getting a Core 2 Duo (assuming both your laptop's bios and power ability support it) might not be worth the effort. Money better saved for something newer. You can find off-lease 1st generation i3/i5 laptops for a couple hundred bucks now-days.
