I would like some thoughts on my PC build, I have roughly a $1400 AUD budget and would like to be able to download and play steam games (such as Attilla Total War), MMO games and would like it to be able to handle big new games on a reasonable high detail.

Any advice or suggestions and also analysis on how this build will perform (and if it will work) would be appreciated. This is my first build so I am pretty green. All prices are in Australian Dollars.

Solution

There are a few suggestions I would make.
1. Get the CM Storm Devastator combo w/ mouse and keyboard.
Best value peripherals hands down, the logitech gear is kind of crappy, especially the wireless variety due to lag times.
2/ Provided you're going to overclock, make the jump to a 750w PSU, as the CPU draws quite a bit and with the GPU will most likely go just over 650 or very close to, at which point I would be a bit concerned.
3. Get the Samsung Evo 250gb 850 series, sells for 104 from CPL, and is twice the size for a better price.
4. Add au. to the beginning of your pcpartpicker website URL, puts all the stuff in AUD and selects retailers.
5. Get the cryorig H5, only a little bit more expensive than the hyper 212 and offers better temps.
6. If you have the money the 970 is defintely worth the upgrade. The MSI Gaming 970 hits stuff out of the park!
7. 16gb of RAM is worth the money with upcoming titles, opt for some cheaper ram like crucial ballistix 2x8gb if you can't afford Ripjaws V
