I have a 1TB WD My Passport Ultra. I use it to transfer videos and audio from one computer to another. My recording software requires that I run it from a Windows computer, but I use Final Cut Pro for all of my video editing. I tried formatting the entire drive in FAT32 but some of the files wouldn't store because they were larger than 4GB.
My first question is if I format half of the drive to run specifically for Windows, and the other for OS X, would the Mac be able to extract the files from the Windows partition and edit them.
Second question, if so how?
