I am getting a new power supply for old Betsy and don't know what cables I should get

I am getting a new power supply for my computer that has pci-e connections but my hard drive takes SATA and I have been searching and I can't find any good anwsers on why kind of adapter I need bte the power supply has 3 pci-e spots and the hard drive is a 15 pin SATA

As DJDeCiBeL said, SATA has been a standard for a long time now, so you don't have to get any adapter. Do look out for PCI-E connectors, I'm not sure what you meant in your question, but if you need 3 PCI-E connectors because you have 3 graphics cards, your powersupply needs to have those.

Get any recent power supply that has the 80+ rating you want, the wattage you need, and it'll have SATA cables, guaranteed.
