Good day everyone, just posting to ask if its worth trying to sli a gtx 960 4gb edition? saw good results with 2gb sli, but what about 4gb? i know the 128 mem bus is not that powerful, but still is it worth to sli? thanks everyone!!!!

Two 960's have more power than a 970, with the same amount of RAM. Obviously the game you're playing changes the SLI support, or the monitor you use changes the need for two cards over one. If you have a 120hz 1080p, I'd say go SLI 960. But above that, or with a 21:9 ratio, I'd switch over to the 970.

I'd add, depends on what price you're getting the second card for. Does saving a $100 equal questionable SLI support? or do you play one game all the time that you know has great support, and you need high FPS?

I think its better to go to a more powerfull single card.In theory 2 gtx 960 have more or less the power of gtx 980,but in real world usage it depends the game and not so many games have good sli support.

Yup, doing sli is much expensive than getting a single 970 but the 960 sli its more powerful than a single 970... im weighing on than thought... but then you asked me about fps, im good with just 60 and above... just want to experience that smooth and stutter free gaming... ahhhh maybe in 2,3 or 4 months from now i will be upgrading... anyway, your reply is very helpful to what im planning, thanks for your time buddy, really appreciate it.
