So here is a pretty decent puzzler. I have (both Gigabyte) gtx760 and gtx970. Both OC 4GB edition cards. Biggest differences being the actual clock speeds on the core and memory...would SLI theoretically work? They are both 4gb cards and the 970 would get underclocked to match the 970 in terms of clock speeds, but would there really be any improvement to have them SLI instead of having just the one 970.

Solution
Those cards cannot be in an SLI confg. They are different architectures as well as different GPU dies and lots more.. It will not work. One is Kepler and one is Maxwell 2. The best you can do is have one as a dedicated physX card..
