Hello people,

I'm new here in forum, so this is my first question I'm hoping it is fine and proper.

I want to add 4 more gigabytes of ram to my older 2x2gigabyte ones. In total I want to make it 8 gigabytes.

My current ram couple is KHX1600C9D3K2/4G.

And the board is ga-ex58-ud3r.

Problem is that i want to make sure new module or modules will work properly with 6 years old ram couple. So which ram should i choose, or which parameters needs to be checked.

is this one ok?

Other part of question is that if I buy 4 gb one module, which slots (board have 4) i should use them with?

Thank you for explanation. Aren't there any solution to use my current 2x2 GB ram with new ones?
I mean 2x2 + 2x2 or 2x2 + 4 kind of solution?

And I dont really care about maximum performance, It is ok to not use some features of newly added RAM. Only important thing is working together with my current 2x2 kit.

Note: Local stores have limited variety, I think kingston would be easier to find here. And newegg unfortunately doesn't makes delivery here so i have to find it in local stores or local websites.
