Hi,

I decided to get some more RAM for my computer:
MB: 970A-G43
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 X4 965
RAM: PSD34G1333KH
GFX: NVidia GTX660Ti
500W PSU
etc.

So i found that HyperX Beast 16GB 2133 MHz kit HX321C11T3K2/16 should be compatible with that MB. Only problem was that the 2133MHz would be only accessible while OC. I don't have any experience with OC, so i just thought that it would run even at lower speed.

After installing new kit there was only black screen, peripherals not working, no beeps. Looks like my motherboard does not reckognize these memory sticks.

The thing is: after trying it out with my old sticks, they are being added to the sum, so my computer was showing 20 GB of RAM. However the system was unstable and BSOD. I can only get to BIOS with my old memory sticks inserted. Tried to fiddle with OC Genie 2, even set the DRAM power to 1.6V. Still not working.

After some more fiddles it booted up without the old sticks! Worked like a charm, but the speed was not great, they both ran at 666MHz. I tried to boot into BIOS, but it slipped back to the original state.

I don't really know what Ive changed that it worked for once, but it does not anymore. Could you hand me some advice? (Don't really know if the shipping company will accept my return request while the package has been opened)

Solution
In short, there's no support for that fast memory on the MB or even less on that CPU. Most you can hope for is 1600 MHz or 1333 MHz. In addition, if all memory slots are filled you'd be advised to keep at 1333MHz because memory controller in BIOS may overload and/or overheat.
Mixing memory kits is not guaranteed to work and can cause compatibility problems such as being unable to boot or operate at rated speeds.

A 2133 MHz memory clock with a Phenom II X4 965 I find to be not seeming reasonable or probable. The SPD (Serial Presence Detect) rating of HX321C11T3K2/16 is programmed to JEDEC standard latency DDR3-1600 timing of 11-11-11 at 1.5V.

Realistically, I would stay with 1333MHz speed for a Phenom II CPU and use a single kit.

I did not even think of running them at once. 20GB RAM is unnecessary for me. I am not an hardware expert, could you please translate this for me to some simpler form? According to your post i should try to return this memory and buy another one? Is there no way of getting these to work?
