Hi Folks
I have a Seagate BARRACUDA 7200.12 ST31000528AS it is my old hard drive it was working fine until i updated its Stock Firmware CC38 to CC49 after updating the firmware i did a full erase with seatools which took more than 20 hours to complete it was unusually long. after it was done. i wanted to use it as my dump drive ( secondary drive ) .. so i restarted my pc and initialized it in disk management after that i created new simple volume and did a quick format ntfs.. here the problem started the quick format never completed it is showing as raw drive and i cant access it in the my computer
1) can i roll back the firmware back to CC38
2) should i try the bootable firmware updater ? because i used the windows firmware updater provided by seagate.
please reply as soon as possible i will be very thankful to you guys
