Will any aftermarket CPU heatsink be better than the stock heatsink??
I want to know becouse i am about to start a new build (just waiting for processor and case to get delivered) I am using these parts:
Gigabyte Ga-970a-ds3p motherboard
FX 8320e processor
Reference Radeon R9 270
16GB RAM (2 x 8gb HyperX Savage)
And a friend of mine gave me a Cooler Master Vortex Plus heatsink as gift, the thing is that this heatsink isn't the usual aftermarket heatsink where the fans blow parallel to the motherboard, this heatsink has a low profile and seems to be intended for smaller cases, the fan blows into the motherboard (the same way a stock heatsink fan does).
So what i am asking, will this heatsink be better for fooling my FX 8320e than the stock one??
