I don't usually like saying this, but pcpartpicker isn't always trustworthy when it comes to saying whats compatible with what. I'd like some confirmation by the TH community that this PC will work nicely when I get it all built. :)

Here's the partlist.

Also, a random question I've had in mind.. If any of you guys have heard of the "Fry's Electronics" store; Do they charge you if your PC is 100% in working condition when you want them to check it out? Just curious for anyone who may know.

Solution
I agree with you on your assessment of partpicker ... not only do they miss things but that add incompatibilities that don't exist

1. Id skip the Artic Silver ... takes 200 hours to cure and is capacitive. See warnings on their own website. Same performance as As5 but w/o the curing and capacitance issues and half the price.

2. Better PSU with room to run SLI two 970s

3. NIC is redundant, drop it

4. RAM might hit cooler if you add a 2nd fan.

5. Id drop to 2 x 4GB at this budget level ... and wont...

Looks good, don't need the network card, that mobo will have an ethernet connection(killer network).
My mother lives in AZ, I've heard of Fry's, but I can't confirm anything in regards to their computer people.

Fancy!
I'm particularly worried about the processor compatibility with the motherboard (something I run into a lot!) , could you check the specs of my processor and confirm that it will work with the motherboard if you haven't already?

6. You saved $95 there for better components... that should really make the additional cost of jumping to a 970 inconsequential

7. With no SSD, jumping to an SSHD would provide at least a 50% performance boost

Id really try and move up a bit to a Intel CPU / MoBo if budget can be increased

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE COMPATIBILITY! I have the same motherboard with a FX-4350 with the same chipset and it works fine, no updating or using a different processor is needed! I thought the same thing, but it still worked.

Hope this helps! Happy building. ;)

Damn bro, you earned the solution on this post. Thanks for the tips!
And thanks to all the others as well for being dedicated enough to confirm that this build will work nicely!

I actually have a few questions though.
If my buddy is a gamer who plays RAM/memory intensive games like GTA5, Battlefield, etc... Is it really worth dropping to a 2x4gb stick setup? I personally find it a little below-average if I were to do this.

Also, on your fourth suggestion, are you trying to imply that the case might have a tight fit for the 120mm fan?

8GB is the minimum requirement for most AAA games. Don't find it below average to have 8GB of memory, and plus, you can always upgrade later.

We put 2 x 8GB of 2400 in wife's PC but it was 410 more than 1600 so was a no brainer. If the $40 is not an issue. Id certainly get 2 x 8GB. 16 GB is better for games like GTAV, Witcher 3 and new games coming down the pike....and give you 5-10% more fps. But if it comes down between a 960 w/ 16Gb and a 960 w/ 8 GB, then Id take the 970. With that 750 PSU, he cud even add a 2nd one later and wit SLI, more RAM would be better. I normally don't recommend going from 2 sticks to 4 sticks, but at 1866 CAS9, adding 2 sticks shouldn't pose an issue.

As to the cooler, no... the issue is not the case nut w/ the high [profile VPs the tall RAM can sometimes hit the CPU cooler or the fans attached thereto. Always use low profile RAM. The only cooling function of the tall RAM is to 'look cool"
