Hello

It's been a while since I last build a PC, so I would like a second opinion and hopefully answered some questions.

First of, will these components work together, or should I consider something else?
Secondly I'm thinking that I might get a second GTX 980 later, will the PSU and Case be able to handle that?

Build is as follows.

Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX DDR4 Gaming Board
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz 8MB HD530 95W
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer i32 CO 24/7 CPU Cooler Semi Passiv
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 PC2800 16GB kit CL14
SSD: Kingston SSD HyperX Fury 240GB SATA6 500/500 R/W
HDD x 2: Seagate Barracuda 2TB SATA6 64MB 7200RPM
GFX: MSI GeForce GTX980 4GD5T OC TIGER 4GB
WiFi: Asus PCE-AC56 AC1300 Wireless PCIe Adapter
PSU: Corsair RMx Series 850W Silent Modular PSU
Case: NZXT H440W New Edition - White/Black Window

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

nothing stands out as being wrong with that, put check it on pcpartpicker just in case for compatibility, for such a high spec build I'd maybe consider a high end 1000w PSU for futureproofing, im personally hesitant with corsair due to a cx750 failing on me but that was a bad range i bought from, just look for a PSU that comes with a several year warranty, that way you know its built to last

that psu has a 5 year warranty so should be oretty good, I dont know too much about cpu coolers, I personally just go overkill and buy the best money can buy as even then there not that expensive, I personally have a coolermaster V8 although i do have an fx9590, aslong as the watts of the cpu cooler is higher than the watts the cpu is rated at you should be fine
