How ya doing folks, I know you guys probably get loads of posts about this but I want your input on my current build of computer. I recently upgraded to the r9 390 (as you've guessed from the thread title), however when I play games such as Battlefield 4 I'm getting way too much low FPS for the price of GPU I've paid for, even at times my screen has went bright red and the computer crashes completely! Good news is that the crashes has not happened in a while but still my gfx card is under performing and it's bloody frustrating!
Do you think I need to upgrade certain hardware? Here is my build:

Operating System: Windows 10
RAM: 8GB DDR3 Ripjaw
CPU: AMD FX-6100 Six-Core 3300 Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
SMBIOS Version 2.4
BIOS mode: Legacy

Anything else just ask :)
Thanks for your time

I gotta second everything Turbo said and just wanted to add that my msi 390 has BF4 running at nearly constant 60fps. My guess is its the CPU overall. Since you have decided to go for dedicated graphics, I see no reason to stay with an AMD CPU. Come over to the Intel side of the fence. Its nice here.

Ok first of all, your cpu is really weak and is surely bottlenecking your 390. Your motherboard is also not very good so that's not helping any. Since you did not feel it was important to list your psu, I can assume it is also not very good and possibly not even powerful enough for your 390.

Thanks for the answer guys haha! I will look into upgrading those parts, I will look into the intel side of things if I can be persuaded ;-)
