Hi, so this is my first pc build, and I put everything together tonight. But when I turn my computer on, none of the chassis fans work (but the CPU fan does), and I'm getting a Q code 00. BUT MY CPU LED IS NOT LIT, so that means there's no CPU error right? Can someone please help?

Components:

Case: Corsair Carbide 500R
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Formula
CPU: Intel i5 6600K 3.5 GHz
CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
GB (4x4GB)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO
Graphics Card: Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970s

Solution
Your HDD LED not lighting up is likely just that you have the LED connector connected backwards (or its not lighting because you haven't successfully POST'd), either way, it's not critical.

Try this, remove all the graphics cards and connect your monitor to the motherboard.

As for calling, I'm in Canada and it's 4:30 AM here.

...it's kind of messy in there and I'm afraid of damaging my components if I take everything apart again. The power cable's definitely connected, cuz the motherboard's lighting up, right?

oh ok I just did that. it redirected me to error 53, which is a dram error, but i reinserted all my ram sticks and now im at error 99...super IO initialization? what does that mean...

Try reseating your RAM and graphics card. It couldn't hurt to reset the CMOS via the jumper as well.

Oh, I just noticed you have two 970's, try with just one for now. Add the second card after you get Windows installed and set up (hopefully we get you to that point).

Edit: Oops noticed you said your reseated your RAM. I would remove both 970's and then just install one 970 in the primary PCI-E slot. Make sure you have your PCI-E power cables plugged in. Also if the problem persists, try with only one DIMM.

Could I call you? I'm sorry, I'm just really new to this, and my board is going through a sequence of error codes and ending up at 99. Is it totally shorted out? I'm kind of panicking. I only really understand like half of what you guys are saying >~<

UPDATE: I have 1 DIMM in right now, 1 of my 970s, and I just noticed my hard drive LED isn't lighting up. Could that be the problem? Or is this totally different. I read that error 99 could just mean my motherboard's totally screwed?

UPDATE: Got rid of both graphics cards. Nothing's changed. 1 DIMM. Nope. I don't know what to do.
