-Did you try other USB ports?
-Are you sure the keyboard is good?
-Does the keyboard work for the BIOS?

You can try a PS2 to USB adapter?
I still have to keep a PS2 keyboard around, just because I can't update my BIOS with a USB keyboard plugged in on the motherboard I'm using. At least not the USB keyboard I have. Still a good reason to keep a cheap PS2 keyboard laying around.
