Programs freezing, one after another until computer just dies on me until I reboot manually.

Hello.

I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I got 3 HDD's (2 x 1TB, 1 x 2TB and a 500GB SSD).

I have been 6 years in IT school and also worked in IT for a couple of years, so I am not new to these kinds of things.

But this issue is driving me nuts. I have done all sorts of harddrive scans and tests, and everything seems to be in order. I don't have a single clue what is causing this or how to fix it.

There is no pattern to how or why this is happening, it just randomly starts happening out of nowhere.

My latest experience, for example, happened about half an hour ago. I just booted up and started browsing facebook and listening to music and such, and then Firefox froze. So then I opened up task manager to end it from there, but then task manager froze. After that spotify, after that steam. Then Firefox shut down, and when I tried to open it, it said that it no longer exists and asked me if I wanted to remove the shortcut. Same with the Windows Explorer icon and Control panel shortcut (I have them both pinned in the taskbar). So I press Shut Down, the screen goes black in about 1 second, but it never shuts down. It stays on, but my monitors shut off and everything. So I force it off from the button, and once I restart it, it says "Overclocking failed! Press F2 to enter setup" even though I don't have a single overclock running, everything is running completely stock. This error comes up everything there is a crash or bluescreen or anything of the like though. Then I have to go through BIOS and select my boot drive.

The time before that, the same thing happened when I was moving a movie from one of my HDD's to a USB Flash Drive. The movie never made it to the flash drive, it got stuck on about 95% and then everything started freezing and falling apart until my computer finally just went dark. After I booted up and tried moving it again, same thing happened, almost identically. Then I switched to another flash drive and it worked as normal.

I have all my programs and my OS installed on my SSD. The harddrive where I had the movie is only a storage harddrive, no programs or whatsoever on it.

When this problem happens, it doesn't bluescreen, so I get no logs or anything. I get no information whatsoever. Program after program fails, until finally windows explorer hangs itself, and then soon after everything goes dark.

Any ideas what could be causing this, or how to fix it? I have not tried reinstalling my OS yet, since it would take me days to set everything back up.

Thanks in advance!

TL;DR - My programs randomly (for no specific reason or pattern whatsoever) start freezing and close down, one after another, can't reopen them afterwards. After a while windows explorer freezes, and lastly my computer just goes black but doesn't shut off or reboot automatically.
