Wacom Tablet compatibility

I bought a Wacom Intuos Medium tablet and when I got it home I found out it isn't compatible with my MAC OS X 10.7.5 system. Says 10.8 and later... does anyone know of a good tablet that would work with my older OS? I really like Wacom but on their website I can't find compatibility specs.

Can't you update your MacOS?

I know updating everything is the right thing to do but I can't go that route right now. If I update my Mac my software will need to update to Adobe Creative Cloud, and I'm not in business so I don't want the monthly subscription fee. There have also been problems with El Capitan and Creative Suite. I'm in the middle of a job so I don't have the time to sort it all out. I'm wondering if one of the Bamboo tablets might work, I'll call Wacom this morning and find out.
