So I have a gaming computer I purchased from iBuyPower a couple of years back, it was the Gamer Mage (not sure exactly which model), and I since bought a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 and replaced the small graphics card it came with and I also bought a 600w corsair power supply to replace the 450w it came with, so my computer is currently:

- GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280
- CPU: AMD FX-8320 Eight Core Processor 3.50GHz
- Power Supply: Corsair 600w
- Motherboard: AsusTeK M5A97 R2.0
- RAM: GSKILL F3-14900cl9-gbxl 4GB x 2 (8GB)
- Storage: 2TB
- Windows 10 Home
- I also have a small front fan, and inside I have a closed loop Astek cooling system. (not sure on the specifics).

But the reason I ask for your guys advice is because Ive recently been noticing really low FPS on alot of the newer games, and Im not too tech savvy and Im really not sure whats outdated and what not, so please let me know what you guys think would be a good start to upgrading this build. Thanks in advance :)

use amd overdrive to overclock the cpu, it even has an auto-overclock function although many people say to steer away from using it, although when i was starting out i didnt have any issues with it, and I agree the best thing to do would be to upgrade the gpu, that'll give the biggest performance increase in 99% of old builds

Lol, seriously man. Hes hooking it up. But I dont really see them mentioning how to overclock it, theyre just talking about their results from overclocking. Lol. Im terribly new to all this.
