Hey,

I am new to PC building, so I would like to ask if my PC setup will work and if there are any other options to improve it:

Intel i5-4460, 3.2 GHz (1150 socket)

MSI GTX 960 - 2GB

(2x4 GB) Crucial 8 GB DDR3-1600

WD Digital Blue - 1 TB

Gigabyte GA-H81M-HD3

Cooler Master GM G550M

Sharkoon BW9000-W

Solution
Yes, gtx 960 will work. You areas of improvement are going to be $$$ like getting a better video card or processor. An ssd will work help with system responsiveness.

Thank you very much for your responds, they have helped me a lot. I have changed my setup a bit, but I am still on a budget, so I can't afford a GTX970> or a better processor. This is the new setup: it isn't perfect, so it would be nice if you can give me any other options or improvements that are affordable:

Intel i5-6400, 2,7-3,3 GHz (1151 socket)
MSI GTX 960 - 2GB
(2x4 GB) Crucial 8 GB DDR3-1600
WD Digital Blue - 1 TB
Asus H110I-PLUS D3
Corsair CX500M
Sharkoon S28 Window
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 120 GB

And another question: Do you know a nice and reliable monitor for €100 - €120? :)

There is really no savings between ddr3 and ddr4, so you might as well go with ddr4 and a mobo to support it
you might look into a R9 380, which trades blows with the 960, but is often cheaoer
