Hello everyone in tomshardware, i was looking for some advice in how to make a balance between FPS and graphics.
i got a i3 3220 so things like draw distance will not benefit me at all.
I can't find a sweet spot between graphics and FPS in most games like Mad Max and GTA V nor skyrim with ProjectENB, because sometimes i got carried away with the quality and get ugly FPS, in places with pretty scarce items/buildings i get 55-60 FPS, but when i generally go to places with combat/action going on i drop up to 25 FPS. Other times i don't use all the potential of the graphics i could use and looks rather disgusting.

Specially in GTA V, that memory bar confuses me, as i got only 1 GB but i can go past it?

Could someone please help me find a sweet spot? I'm aiming for a constant game play without sacrificing that much of quality something like 60 FPS at 768p (1366x768), or plain 55 FPS, as long as there isn't that much AA, FXAA or MSAA involved, as much i tolerate 4x AA and 2x FXAA and MSAA

Thank you if you are patient for my idiotness and help me with this

Guess he herpderped that one. The bar isn't set in stone of the actual usage at the selected settings and going past it doesn't mean you are going to lag. My 560ti only has 1gb and I put the setting to around 1.5gb and still keep 60fps most of the time. Haven't played it in awhile though. Texture and af is the most noticeable change in games to me. There's usually a specific graphics guide you can find on the internet for every game. http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/grand-theft-auto-v-pc-graphics-and-performance-guide Else you've got the geforce experience although it never really selects what I would. When you know what each setting does and what it does with performance, it's easy to know what to choose. You could even look at...

Well first of all, I have no idea what kind of video card you have. Just telling me the processor has nothing to do with graphics or AA besides effects that can be all processed at once. Second, you can go past the bar on GTAV, but your game will lag like shit. I had a GTX760, and had to monitor that bar or I would be getting like 10fps. Recently I purchased a 970 4gb, and now that bar never turns red with everything maxed

Like shadows, aa, ao, shader, and lighting are the big hitters.
