Is this repairable?

Recently did some damage to my GTX 980 TI while installing a hybrid kit. What part did I damage and is it at all repairable? I understand I voided the warranty and have already purchased a new GPU but was wondering if it's salvageable. http://imgur.com/a/BCaiK

It's not going to damage anything else. A decoupling cap is used to filter noise from the power supplied to the component at the point where it enters the component. The only thing that might happen is that data stored in that BGA could be corrupted while writing to or reading from that BGA. If that BGA is mapped high on the memory map, then it may go unused for the most part and thus never cause a problem. If it's low in the map and is continually being used, and power to the device is noisy, then it could cause problems.

I'd say if it's working, don't worry about it.
I'd say that was a decoupling cap used to filter power to one of the BGA memory packages. It's possible that power to it will be clean enough without it, but it could also cause graphical anomalies if the power to that BGA is noisy.

As for repairing, that's hard to say. You'd need to know the size of the cap (in microfarads) and the picture isn't detailed enough to tell if the solder lands have been damaged. Someone that knows how to solder SMD could do it easily (I could), but it's not like soldering hole through components or copper plumbing.

I used it for awhile and it seemed fine. I'm just worried if I should use it at all in it's current state. I can try to take a better photo.
