Hello!

I'd like to connect a 0.25A 120mm case fan and a 0.15A 92mm CPU fan using a Y-splitter and plug them into the CPU_fan header.
I'd also like to connect 2 identical 0.25A 120mm case fans into the CHA_fan header.

My MB supports fans up to 1 Amps on the CPU header. I don't know anything about the chassis one.

Will this work like this?

Thank you!

Solution
It will but Amps are not a problem, problem is that it will read speed as something of average of both fans and speed control may be difficult. Are the 3 or 4 pin fans and MB header ?
As for other 2, all is OK.

Thank you for the answer, sir!

Both the headers and the fans are 4pin. But the Y-splitter has a 3 and a 4pin connector, so only one fan will provide info about RPM.

So you say, if I connect the 0.25A 120mm fan to the 3pin end of the splitter and the CPU 92mm 0.15A fan to the 4pin end of the splitter and plug this into the CPU_FAN, I won't have any problems??

If that's true, then I'm incredibly happy!!!!

Fourth pin is for speed control (PWM or Pulse With Control) So that one on 3 pin will not have speed control and probably neither of them. You'd be better off finding a Y cable with all 4 pin ends for better speed control.
It's safe as it is though, nothing will burn as you are under the Amperage limit.
I'm using 3 120mm fans (two on CPU cooler and one behind, on the case) but they are all same and over an Amp. All are PWM and are quite conntrolable.
There's other two 92mm in front of the case on a Y cable and other fan connector but are 3 pin and running full blast. Other 2 3 pin 40mm fans are on third Y cable and one is on North bridge and other on power section.

Huhhhh....I'm delighted. I thought amperage difference will cause damage to my components. But if I understand it correctly I dont have to worry about anything.
Unfortunately this was the only Y splitter and it only comes like this. I still have an option of wiring one case fan directly to the PSU and the other 2 to the MB via the splitter, and the CPU fan will run alone on the CPU_fan header.
