I7 4790k on asus ROG impact vi

Hi
I recently upgraded to a i7 4790k and it won't post.

I have bios 1603 on the motherboard ( installed via EZ update )

But still no luck

Has anyone had similar issues?

I had updated it to 1603 before swapping the cpu, I checked it in the bios and it said 1603.

However I have recently downloaded the previous bios version 1502 as it states it is 4th gen comparable

Will try it tonight

I have now tried the new i7 cpu in another motherboard and it posts fine...

For some reason the old motherboard only likes the original i5 cpu.
