I am going to be buying 2 gtx 980ti's and considering I am investing so much money into graphics cards, I want the sli bridge to be nice looking. Wouldn't the placement of the connectors on SLI bridges be dependent solely upon the spacing between the PCIe slots on the motherboard? To my knowledge, that spacing is standardized so I don't see why it should work on one board but not another, provided the number of slots separating the two GPUs is the same (including missing slots, as some boards have a PCIe x16 slot with no slot next to it since it would be blocked by a dual slot GPU).
