In my college, we use Gmail as our email client and with that we get access to google drive with unlimited storage. So with this unlimited storage, I have a ton of stuff up there, a little more than 1 tb of stuff lol.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to map drive as a network drive so I can easily upload and download files instead of having to log in or use goodsync. And I do not want to sync the entire drive to my computer like Google desktop does. I just want to set it up like a network storage device.

I have tried everything I can thing of which isn't much for someone who's in school for computer engineer.....we haven't learned much if anything about networking :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you can assign a drive letter to the google drive folder on your computer.
not exactly the same as mapping a network drive but provides similar user experience.

Thanks for the reply! But unfortunately this is not what I'm after. Assigning google drive a letter will still locally store synced files in the google drive folder. Not what I want. I don't want to sync, just use it as like it's a hdd that's attached to a router.

Then I have no idea what you are asking. I have my Google drive as a remote drive sitting on the cloud, I am not synching anything, if I lose Internet access, I have no access to those files.

Re-reading your original post, it's possible the school has it setup a certain way and you are not allowed to change it.
