For some reason when i use either A1 / A2 my pc will not post at all i just get a red Memory LED then red CPU LED then the whole PC restarts.

However when i use B1 / B2 it posts and all works fine.

My RAM: Corsair CMK8GX4M2B3000C15

Tried resetting the CPU rebuilding the PC just to make sure the motherboard was not screwed in to tight and updated to the latest bios.

I have also disabled both A1 / A2 then booted and in the bios it has detected the ram being installed but as the slot was disabled it does not show as usable.

I just don't know if there is something stupid i am missing or if my motherboard is just broken.

Solution
If you have a third party CPU cooler, try loosening, then snug down screw tight, many end up over tightening in a corner or side which doesn't allow the CPU full contact with the pins and ends up 'losing' a channel. If no joy, then would pull the cooler and CPU and check for bent pins

I made an account just to say thanks to you. I would never have figured that out myself.
