I've owned the G710+ for about 3 months. I'm not a gamer. I just wanted a better keyboard. I like the fact that everything works without installing the software, but of course I'm not using the macro keys and I'm only using basic back lighting. One thing I don't like is that the secondary function key symbols are gray and hard to see in dim light. These are the symbols under the numbers on the top key row, the colon, quote mark, question mark, etc. These symbols are not affected by the backlight. I LOVE the cylinder volume control-so nice! I'm very pleased with it as a non-gamer. It does take two USB ports, but I had plenty. Some functions may work with just one, I can't remember.

I've personally used a G710 and it's a great keyboard. Excellent quality if a bit weird-looking. the Corsair K70 has very positive reviews too. Since they both use the same type of switches they'll feel similar so I'd just buy the one you like the look of better.

Would you say the K70 has any advantages over the G710 besides the aesthetics? It is a really big price difference for me and I want to make sure if I do buy the K70, it's not just for aesthetics. I've heard G710 users experience mechanical issues, have you?
