So basically a couple of weeks ago turned on my pc, and once i logged in it gave me the following error. Since I have another PC, I decided to leave this one alone for a bit because of the error. So I shut it down and left it. So today I figured that there might be a way to save the harddrive. So I went to My Computer, Right clicked :C, hit properties, tools and went and checked for errors. So the result that I got from this basically contradicts the original error message. It says my disk is fine. I'm wondering if there is a virus or not. I am going to run a full system scan with my antivirus and then run chkdsk /f. I will post any further developments here.

Hey there, Usmanian!

I'd strongly recommend you to backup your data somewhere off-site as soon as possible. Check disk is not always as accurate as an HDD diagnostic tool . You should refer to your HDD manufacturer's website for their brand-specific utility that would help you determine the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive.
If the HDD was pre-built in your PC, I'd strongly advise you to check the warranty on your computer. The manufacturer's customer support should be able to take care of a failed hardware replacement.

Keep me posted & good luck! :)
