Hi guys. I am thinking to buy G-Skill Trident X 16gb CL10 2400mhz instead of my gskill sniper 8gb CL9 1600mhz. My mobo and cpu are Maximus V Formula, i7-2600k. Im using cpu @4825mhz as fully stable also rams are running @1640mhz with orginal timings. Can i use 2400mhz ram without any problem ? Thanks

Yes you should be able to use the 2400Mhz ram with your Motherboard and CPU no problems 2400Mhz is native to the board so there should be no problems at all. Just make sure when you get your motherboard to update it to the latest BIOS version before trying to boot into you OS (Operating System) :) Actually with a 2600K and 2400 sticks you will need to enable XMP and 'probably' OC the CPU which you have already done, many 2600Ks can carry 1866 and 2133 with no CPU OC but few can carry 2400 sticks without OC's
