I just purchased this MSI R9 390 and I am unsure about fan settings. I downloaded afterburner but just am not sure what to set it at. Should I leave it on auto.. idles around 60 C, set the fans to a constant speed ( and if so what speed), or there is a user defined software option, that monitors temps and adjusts fans periodically. Totally lost here. Thanks in advance for any help.

I got the same GPU not long ago and I just leave the fans set to auto. I even overclocked it to 1145Mhz but its yet to overheat in any game I have tested or in valley benchmark, so I would say auto is good enough. If you are really worried about temps, I would look for better case fans. May sound dumb, but when I ramped the fans on the card up and down it had minimal effects. Turning up my case fans however made a massive impact on my GPU temp.

I have 2 running in crossfire and I run them on auto fam settings. Your temps are normal. You can set them manually with MSI Afterburner, which you can have run on startup.
