hey,
I was playing a game (Starcraft II) when suddenly the game crashed. since then, the game keeps crashing.
I restarted my computer and i see weird symbols on boot up. the weird symbols are hard to describe but things like side ways L's take up the entire screen. some side ways 8's and a bunch of other things. Im seeing green streaks on the motherboard splash, the window where you have your HDD info is not visible because of the said symbols, windows logo is fine.
my immediate thought is that my current gfx card is bad (NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+) but i would like to know if that is actually the case.
is it possible to troubleshoot without swapping video cards?
under device manager, i have a "!" with a code 43 error. i tried many things to remedy this error but no luck. (including DDUv96).
If its a video card problem, im looking at EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti SC and ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750Ti, I can assume that these two are pretty much identical because they both use GTX 750Tim correct?
