I have a brother HL-4040 CN printer and I was getting a "unable print 32" message and I fixed it following some online guidelines and when I put the printer back together and turned it on, now I am getting a "no belt unit" message. Why is this showing?

Solution
The belt unit was not reinstalled correctly. Or the online guidelines were incorrect and something got changed that should not have been.

About all you can do is reopen the printer and check everything.

First look for repair guidelines or instructions regarding the belt unit.

There may be some applicable cautions or warnings that were not mentioned in the orginal procedure you followed.

Or maybe just some wire came loose - no power, start up sees no belt unit.
