So every morning when I turn on my desktop I get this message" disk read error press ctrl Alt delete to restart. If I do that or simply press the reset button I always get the same message. I am able to boot into bios no problem.
Now, if I shut down my pc by holding down the power button and then turn it back on it boots into Windows just fine. I can then restart my pc as often as I want and never get the disk read error. All games and apps run just fine. This only seems to occur after the PC has been shut down for the night.
I ran disk check from Windows, no problems. I ran chkdsk /F /R /X from command prompt and no errors and no bad sectors. Tried repairing from the Windows disk and Windows just says it can't repair my pc which I assume means it can't find a problem to repair.
Again , I can get into Windows just fine by doing a manual power down and back on but is frustrating to get this error message every single morning.
PC specs: AMD 8350 @4.6 Prime 95 stable.
ASUS crosshair V formula Z motherboard.
2x XFX 390x crossfire
Samsung 850 evo 500gb SSD
Cougar 80+ bronze 1200w psu.
All components are brand new, less than a month, except the cpu which I took from another pc.
Any ideas?
