can i use an FM2+ waterblock on an intel socket, or do I have to buy two different waterblocks?

Most Aio or all in one closed cooling loops come with a set of mounting and clamps to fit to any FM2+ And Am3 and Intel based cpu sockets.

If you are going the route of buying separate parts to build up your own water cooling solution like the other poster said for the cpu water block you have to check if it comes with the bracket set for the cpu socket type you have to tension it through the motherboard and on to the cpu.

If you have a water clock that is made specifically for the FM2+ socket then most properly not. If you brought the block and it came with different fitting then there should be one in there for intel depending on socket type. Different types of sockets support different sized and placed wholes on the motherboard.

You can either find the fitting accessories or you will most properly need to buy a new block.

Hope this helps :D
