i5 6600 or FX 8370?

Which of these will give me better performance for gaming, will be using MSI R9 380 4gb GPU.

The i5 6600 is better for gaming. Since it is cheaper, get the i5-6600.

I would advise pairing it with a 390/970 if it is within your budget.

the i5 6600 is better for gaming period regardless of what people say that is a fact
It does change price/performance wise though in video editing and other applications

i5 6600, the single core performance is superior and therefore better for gaming, the multi core performance is about the same, or the i5 will fall a bit short (until overclocked) for reference, I used cinebench R15 to compare the CPUs. I would get the i5 purely for the overall upgrade of the package, better motherboard, platform, chipset and DDR4.
